Diamagnetism Paramagnetism

Diamagnetism and Paramagnetism

Apparatus for Induction Experiments, 650270:

  • sturdy frame made of anodized aluminium
  • predetermined magnet positions and locators for accessory
  • current-swing excursion for current-balance experiments: 0, 15, 30 and 45 mm
  • all parts can be fixed at the frame for storage
  • magnet not included (see below)

Magnet

Magnet with Variable Gap

Magnet with Variable Gap, 650269:

  • gap can be varied from a = 2 mm to 80 mm
  • field strength in the middle of the gap (±10 %):
1000 mT at 2 mm gap
20 mT at 80 mm gap
  • neodymium magnets with D = 20 mm, H = 10 mm
  • browned iron base, adjustment screws are made of stainless steel
  • for experiments in a vertical field the magnet stands stable on the right (longer) end too

Lorentz-Motor

Lorentz Motor

Lorentz Motor, 650277

(magnet not included):
  • no iron inside, the rotation results only from the Lorentz force
  • the rolling direction is dependent of the current direction (this is a difference to "normal" DC motors)
